About You We’re looking for a self-sufficient, experienced full-stack software developer who can hit the ground running without training beyond their existing skills. You should be comfortable working independently while also collaborating with teammates as needed. You’re adaptable, quick to solve problems, and thrive in a fast-paced, Agile/Scrum environment. While we encourage continued learning, this position is not a training role: we need someone who can contribute immediately and deliver results from day one. Times are changing and Honor Tech is aware and immersed in this, so we also expect that you will come to the table with a solid understanding of how to use the latest AI tooling to enhance your development and have embraced (as opposed to resisted) this massive shift in the tech industry. A combination of the right experience and the right adaptation of new skills will make the perfect candidate for this role.
Responsibilities - Independently design, develop, and maintain web applications using ReactJS, TypeScript, and .NET (C#).
- Build and integrate modern APIs with validation, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
- Design and optimize database schemas and SQL queries for performance and scalability in SQL Server, MariaDB, and MySQL.
- Configure and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, IAM, VPNs, security groups) and set up monitoring tools like CloudWatch.
- Integrate Mail Servers (SMTP) and build scalable email solutions with tracking and retry capabilities.
- Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and authentication systems to secure APIs and web applications.
- Ensure scalability and fault tolerance with multi-threading, parallel programming, and queuing systems.
- Perform unit testing, end-to-end testing, and stress testing to validate system performance and reliability.
- Write clear, customer-facing technical documentation and contribute to development standards and best practices.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools where appropriate, validating all AI-generated code for correctness and performance.
Required Skills and Experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development.
- Proficiency in ReactJS and TypeScript for frontend development.
- Proficiency in .NET (C#) for backend API and service development.
- Strong SQL skills and database experience with SQL Server, MariaDB, or MySQL.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, IAM roles, security groups, and CloudWatch monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with Mail Servers and SMTP Integration for email workflows and tracking.
- Expertise in API Development and Integration, including RESTful and SOAP protocols, rate-limiting, and error handling.
- Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and authentication mechanisms.
- Ability to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems for high-volume transactions.
- Proven ability to work independently and start contributing immediately without extensive onboarding or training.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English. You must be able to comfortably participate in live, spontaneous technical discussions and write clear documentation independently, without the use of translation software or real-time translation tools.
Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience with Amplify and Cognito for authentication and user management.
- Experience with Microsoft Identity.
- Familiarity with Twilio and SendGrid integrations.
- Knowledge of DevExpress and Datatables.net for UI components.
- Experience with Dapper and EFCore for database optimization.
- Skills in parallel programming, dependency injection, and scalability-focused development.
- Prior use of AI-assisted coding tools with proper validation techniques.
Job Type: Full-time Contract (40 hours/week)
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate (TBD based on experience, paid in USD)
Compensation & Compliance: Independent Contractor Agreement. Paid via W-9 (US-based) or W-8BEN/International Contractor terms (Non-US).
Schedule: Flexible 8-hour days, 5 days per week. Requires core hours overlap for standing/recurring team meetings.
