Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Analytics/Science or related field Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar analytical role (credit industry expertise required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Ability to analyse and manage large datasets efficiently Excellent communication and presentation skills Technical Skills Java Development GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Google Big Query SQL, Python Google Looker Studio (data visualisation) Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation tools Statistical analysis techniques and data modelling Familiarity with data governance best practices Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance standards (advantageous) Key Responsibilities Data Collection & Cleaning Collect, extract and compile data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and completeness Clean, transform and structure datasets for advanced analytics and predictive modelling Identify and resolve data quality issues and anomalies Utilise SQL, Python and Big Query while staying current with analytics trends Data Analysis & Modelling Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns Apply statistical techniques, predictive modelling and visualisation to generate actionable insights Translate business problems into structured analytical frameworks and model designs Build and maintain predictive models end-to-end (feature engineering through to deployment-ready solutions) Implement validation frameworks and monitor model performance, stability and drift Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical approaches Reporting & Visualisation Create dashboards and reports using Google Looker Develop and maintain standardised reporting templates and visualisation tools The Details Reference Number: GZ61123 Permanent position based in Stellenbosch Salary: R1.5m CTC per annum (negotiable based on experience and ability)Contact Garth: #J-18808-Ljbffr
