Job Description:
As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise web applications and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Oracle technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions, support production environments, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to modernization initiatives, including cloud-based architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Oracle.
- Build and support RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Develop applications that interact with Oracle databases, Kafka, and external services.
- Participate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
- Troubleshoot production issues through log analysis, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Contribute to software design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and test plans.
- Support operational stability, security, and performance of enterprise applications.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to proof-of-concept and innovation efforts.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with Angular for front-end application development.
- Strong Oracle database experience, including SQL and data access layers.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven integration architectures.
- Experience with Hibernate and JPA frameworks.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and application modernization initiatives.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar coding assistants.
- Strong troubleshooting, production support, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience participating in code reviews, Agile development processes, and software lifecycle activities.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
