Software Engineer - Full Stack Development
Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products that meet customer needs. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from architecture design to deployment, working with modern technologies and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements, showcasing empathy and advocating for user-centric software solutions
- Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering solutions using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies (such as Agile), and technologies
- Assess software application and service requirements to determine the most suitable technology stack, integration methods, and deployment strategies
- Create high-level software architecture designs that outline the overall structure, components, and interfaces of applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, architects, and stakeholders
- Define and implement software testing strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes in line with organizational vision, industry regulations, and market best practices
- Continuously improve application performance and optimize code, implementing new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Apply programming best practices including test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Support security practices to safeguard user data, including encryption and anonymization techniques
- Create user-friendly and interactive user interfaces that enhance user experience
- Develop and maintain back-end applications including APIs and microservices using server-side languages
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities to deliver innovative solutions, monitoring and participating in solutions for new stack layers through industry collaboration
Mandatory Skills
- Python - Strong proficiency in Python programming
- Full Stack Java Development - Experience with Java for both front-end and back-end development
Preferred Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks and libraries
Experience Requirements
- Total IT Experience: 4+ years
- Software Development Experience: 3+ years
- Proficiency Level: Practitioner level with hands-on experience in at least 1 coding language or framework
- Career Level: Engineer 2 (Mid-level)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Demonstrated expertise in full-stack software development
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and development
- Commitment to code quality and best practices
