We are currently seeking a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to support an existing program through May 2027.

Position Summary

This is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web-based business applications and services. As a member of the application development team, you will collaborate with developers, technical leads, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

The Software Engineer will participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. This role requires a hands-on developer who can work independently on moderately complex projects while contributing to larger Agile initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain full-stack web applications using:
  • C#
  • .NET / ASP.NET Core
  • Entity Framework
  • React
  • JavaScript
  • HTML/CSS
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces that provide a consistent experience across browsers and devices.
• Create and support SQL Server database objects, including:
  • Tables
  • Views
  • Stored Procedures
  • Functions
  • Queries
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize application and database performance.
• Debug and enhance existing SQL stored procedures.
• Participate in application architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Troubleshoot software defects, production issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Develop unit tests and support quality assurance efforts.
• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, integrations, and development processes.
• Support application deployments and release activities across development, test, and production environments.
• Assist with application security, authentication, authorization, and data protection initiatives.
• Participate in on-call support and occasional after-hours deployment activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
• 3-5 years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing SQL Server databases.
• Strong experience with:
  • C#
  • .NET Framework / .NET Core
  • ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core
  • Entity Framework
• Experience with front-end technologies including:
  • React
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues across application, API, and database layers.
• Experience with responsive web design and modern user experience practices.
• Knowledge of application security principles and secure coding standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Commitment to developing high-quality, maintainable, and secure software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale business applications.
• Experience participating in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud-based application environments.
• Experience supporting production applications and deployment activities.
