Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, cloud-native applications that create value for our customers and business partners. This role will be responsible for building modern web applications, developing backend services, integrating enterprise systems, and leveraging cloud technologies to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

Our Team
What You Will Do
· Designing and developing modern, scalable, and responsive web applications using React.js and TypeScript.
· Building and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless architectures.
· Building end-to-end features including UI components, backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
· Developing and consuming RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration with internal and external systems.
· Implementing modern frontend experiences using responsive design and user-centric principles.
· Designing backend services with robust error handling, logging, and performance optimisation.
· Leveraging cloud-native services (AWS or equivalent) to build, deploy, scale and operate modern applications.
· Implementing event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns where required.
· Applying role-based access controls and authentication mechanisms aligned with enterprise standards.
· Ensuring code quality through clean coding practices, design documentation, and peer reviews.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, architects, and operations teams.
· Participating in Agile delivery cycles, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and dependencies.
· Supporting application monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Strong expertise in React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Proven experience in full-stack software development.
- Hands-on experience building scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented design, and application architecture.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL skills.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Python for automation, integrations, or backend development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, React Query, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with event-driven and asynchronous application architectures.
- Experience with testing frameworks including:
- Jest
- React Testing Library
- Cypress
- Playwright
- Experience implementing logging, observability, and monitoring solutions for production environments.
- Experience supporting highly available and scalable enterprise applications
