Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Java Spring Boot & API Integration Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building RESTful APIs, working with MuleSoft integrations, and supporting enterprise application integration initiatives. This role will also involve API modernization and migration activities from MuleSoft to Spring Boot.
Key Responsibilities
Application & API Development
- Design, develop, and enhance RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Support API migration initiatives from MuleSoft-based integrations to Spring Boot services.
- Ensure high-quality, scalable, and secure API solutions.
Integration & Security
- Develop integrations between enterprise applications and third-party systems.
- Implement API security standards using OAuth2 and JWT authentication.
- Work with JSON, XML, HTTP/S protocols, and API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI.
Testing & Deployment
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and API validation using JUnit, Postman, and MUnit.
- Participate in CI/CD deployment activities and release management.
- Monitor API performance and support troubleshooting activities.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work closely with development, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and integration artifacts.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience in REST API design and development.
- Experience working with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
- Good understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP/S, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Knowledge of API authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API-led connectivity.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in MuleSoft to Spring Boot migration projects.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools including Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of API monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise integration programs.
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of experience in Java and API Integration.
- Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and MuleSoft technologies.
- Hands-on experience in API development, integration, and migration projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
