Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in Qlik Replicate (formerly Attunity) and enterprise data integration technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting scalable data replication solutions while ensuring high performance, reliability, and operational excellence across the data platform.
Key Responsibilities
Data Replication & Ingestion
- Design, build, and maintain Qlik Replicate pipelines for real-time and batch data movement across multiple platforms such as Oracle, DB2, Cloudera, and other enterprise systems.
- Administer and support Qlik Replicate environments, including installation, upgrades, patch management, monitoring, and license administration.
- Optimize replication performance, scalability, and reliability through industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve replication failures, latency issues, and connectivity challenges.
- Develop and enhance SQL and PL/SQL programs to support data integration and replication requirements.
Data Integration & Delivery
- Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to deliver end-to-end data integration solutions.
- Support enterprise data migration, modernization, and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Ensure proper testing, validation, deployment, and support of data pipelines.
- Drive automation initiatives and streamline operational processes before transition to BAU support.
- Contribute to CI/CD implementation and deployment best practices.
Operations & Production Support
- Provide L2/L3 production support for data replication and integration platforms.
- Monitor system health and proactively address issues to ensure service availability.
- Implement automation and operational improvements to enhance platform stability.
- Mentor team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or Data Integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Qlik Replicate (Attunity) or equivalent data replication technologies.
- Solid understanding of Change Data Capture (CDC), Full Load, and real-time replication concepts.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL development and optimization skills.
- Experience working with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Knowledge of data replication architecture, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Hadoop ecosystems, particularly Cloudera.
- Experience with Talend or other ETL/Data Integration tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data migration and modernization initiatives.
- Experience working within CI/CD-driven development and deployment environments.
