Job Description:


Tavant Technologies is seeking a skilled Java Data Engineer to join our dynamic team . The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data solutions that facilitate the integration and processing of large datasets. You will work closely with data architects, data scientists, and software engineers to optimize data workflows and create high-performance data pipelines.


Key Responsibilities:


- Design and implement data ingestion and transformation processes using Java and related technologies.

- Develop data models and database schemas to support applications and analytics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation.

- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance issues.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and software development.


Skills and Tools Required:


- Proficient in Java programming, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.

- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.

- Familiarity with database systems like SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing concepts.

- Knowledge of data transformation tools and ETL processes.

- Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Ability to write efficient queries and optimize database performance.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Previous experience in a data engineering role is a plus.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools and reporting solutions is an advantage.

- Experience in working within Agile development methodologies is beneficial.
