Senior Java Developer with Python exp. - Luxoft (St-Bruno-de-Montarville)

Responsibilities

You will be involved in designing, developing, deploying, and managing scalable and resilient backend services within a containerized, cloud‑native environment, and on‑premise customer environment.

To succeed, you will use a strong foundation in backend development principles, leverage Kubernetes to orchestrate microservices, and ensure high availability and performance of our applications.

You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions.

You will coach junior team members and contribute to a team‑centric culture.

Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years in Java development
• 3+ years in Python development
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
• Proven experience delivering software applications
• Comfort working with LLMs beyond standard developer tools like Copilot or Claude; experience making API calls to an LLM, understanding the agentic loop, and ideally creating and using agents
• Experience with MCP
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools technologies: Jenkins and GitLab Runner
• Must be self‑motivated yet able to work well in a team workplace
• Team player; willing to coach junior team members and cooperate on cross‑functional problem solving
• Working in an Agile development environment
