Role name: Java full stack developer
Work Location: Waukesha, WI
This is a platform team that does backend development for MR Software for NPI. We require a contractor with this skillset:
- Experience working with Java/JEE, Swagger/OpenAPI and Springboot/Spring
- Experience working with BDD/Cucumber, GIT, Artifactory, Gradle/Maven and Docker
- Experience with Unix / Linux based programming
- Experience working on complex applications that interface with physical devices (ideally)
- Experience developing and working in Microservices based software architectureJob
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
- Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
- Implement microservices architecture patterns, including service discovery, API gateway, circuit breakers, and resilience mechanisms.
- Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to deploy and manage applications.
- Develop containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with security, quality, and coding standards.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
