Job Description Summary

Level 5 will have all traits from Level 4 but sometimes will lead technical development on product/team/domain level. They may start taking Working at the forefront of a rapidly evolving technology landscape, you'll design, develop and deliver core agentic AI services and platform capabilities that support a wide range of business use cases. You'll collaborate closely with product teams, architects and engineers across the organisation to ensure solutions are secure, scalable and aligned to enterprise standards.The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on engineering and will include:Designing and evolving platform and systems architecture for AI-driven services.Developing and delivering high-quality, production-grade software and infrastructure.Partnering with teams across the bank to enable and accelerate adoption of AI capabilities.Contributing to technical strategy, engineering best practice and platform standards.Driving innovation and thought leadership within a fast-moving AI environment.

What we’re looking for?


Essential Skills & Experience
AI & Agentic Systems
Experience designing and delivering AI-powered solutions, including agentic workflows, tool integration, and multi-agent architectures.
Familiarity with AI frameworks, emerging trends, and industry best practices.
Understanding of AI evaluation, monitoring, and observability approaches.
Knowledge of deploying AI solutions in cloud-native environments.
Engineering & Platform
Strong Python development skills.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience designing scalable cloud-native systems.
Understanding of CI/CD and modern software engineering practices.
Knowledge of containerisation, orchestration, and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with security, authentication, and authorisation patterns.

Essential Behaviours

Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience with additional programming or scripting languages.
Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), including prompting, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
Understanding of LLM capabilities, limitations, and training concepts.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevOps tooling and practices.
Knowledge of security and authentication frameworks.
