What You’ll Do
Primary Impact: Ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant movement of materials across receiving, storage, and shipping operations, enabling timely delivery and operational excellence.
As a Material Handler II, you will:
Execute shipping and receiving operations by verifying incoming and outgoing materials, inspecting shipments, and ensuring all items meet quality and documentation requirements
Prepare and manage shipment documentation including packing slips, bills of lading, and inventory records with a high level of accuracy
Move and handle materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques to transport goods across warehouse locations
Support inventory integrity by performing cycle counts, identifying discrepancies, and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions
Maintain warehouse organization by properly labeling, storing, and staging materials in designated locations
Utilize systems and tools (e.g., Excel or ERP systems) for data entry, tracking, and reporting of inventory and shipment activity
Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, suggesting enhancements, and supporting operational efficiency initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and support teams to ensure alignment and timely order fulfillment
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
4+ years of experience in warehouse operations (shipping/receiving, materials management, or forklift operation)
Ability to accurately perform data entry and basic analysis using tools such as Excel
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
Proven ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a warehouse environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for shipping and inventory transactions
Knowledge of inventory control processes, including cycle counting
Familiarity with manufacturing or engineering change processes
APICS certification or equivalent supply chain training
Strong problem-solving skills with experience identifying root causes and implementing solutions
Customer-focused mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills
