Material Handler Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a machine manufacturer in Detroit Lakes, MN. Were seeking candidates for Material Handler roles on the day shift. Compensation for these temp opportunities ranges between $17.50-$19.50 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
What You Will Do As A Material Handler:
- Compare identifying material information records to material
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Verify inventory counts and box quantities as needed and identify any discrepancies
- Supply work centers with packaging and materials
- Stage product per reports
- Accurately complete reports and all necessary paperwork
- Remove and empty scrap containers and dispose of used materials as needed
- Proactively monitor work centers and other production indicators to avoid delays in production
- Maintain effective lines of communication with all departments
- Operate production machinery as needed
What You Need To Be A Material Handler:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3 months of warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to use computer equipment for standard processes involving material movements
- Ability to use shrink wrap machine, scales, hand tools, etc. for weighing and packaging parts for shipment
- Ability to follow work instruction
- Must obtain a forklift certification from the facility in which you are assigned
