Mid-Level Java Developer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Java Developer with strong experience of building secure, scalable applications and microservices. The ideal candidate brings deep Java and Spring Boot expertise, hands on AWS experience, and a strong understanding of application security, performance optimization, and production support in cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, and implement Spring Boot applications and microservices using Java
- Build secure applications using authentication, authorization, and encryption techniques (OAuth2, JWT, public/private keys)
- Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern best practices
- Deploy and support applications using AWS services such as ECS, EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, and Glue
- Write and execute unit tests to validate functionality and ensure code quality
- Build deployment scripts and pipelines using Jenkins and CI/CD gates
- Integrate applications with cloud storage, caching, and streaming technologies
- Write SQL queries to support application integration, testing, and production support
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues to ensure high availability
- Address dependency, security, and code quality issues identified through static scanning tools
- Participate actively in an Agile software development environment
- Deploy, certify, and support applications in cloud environments
- Take ownership of assigned work and contribute to individual and team milestones
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience (intake notes indicate 5–9 years preferred)
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and RESTful API development
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS cloud environments
- Solid SQL skills and experience with relational databases
- Hands-on experience writing unit tests using JUnit or equivalent frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong problem-solving skills in production environments
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Big Data technologies in AWS (EMR, Spark, Scala)
- Experience with Spring Cloud and Spring Reactive Frameworks
- Experience with static code analysis and security scanning tools (Veracode, SonarQube, or equivalent)
- Experience with monitoring and metrics tools such as CloudWatch or Splunk
- Experience working with DynamoDB and AWS relational database services
