Job Summary:
The .NET Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for developing, enhancing, troubleshooting, and maintaining web applications and backend processes using Microsoft technologies. The role demands a solution-oriented professional who can adapt to changing environments, work with minimal requirements, and collaborate effectively within a hybrid work setting.
Responsibilities:
- Review functional business requirements and design specifications to ensure clear understanding of deliverables.
- Design, develop, and unit test new features or build new applications per business needs.
- Identify, debug, and fix defects in application code.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, QA, Operations, and Leadership.
- Provide development effort estimates.
- Participate in SCRUM activities such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Engage in software design discussions and code reviews.
- Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for environment availability and build deployments.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Proficient in full-stack development with C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles.
- Experience applying software design patterns and best practices.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Application Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.
- SQL Server development skills including stored procedures, functions, and relational database design.
- Power BI development experience with semantic models, reports, dashboards, and embedding in secured web apps.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Services, or similar source control and work management tools.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively in distributed teams.
- Maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines consistently.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional software application development experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with .NET 6 and later versions, including Blazor application development.
- Prior experience with legacy .NET Framework platforms.
- Use of Progress DevCraft, Telerik Controls, or Kendo UI frameworks.
- Knowledge of application system design and architecture.
- Familiarity with additional Azure Cloud Services such as Service Bus, API Management, and Key Vault.
- Working knowledge of SSIS and SSRS for ETL and reporting tasks.
- Experience working on Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience in the Education sector.
Special Considerations:
- Mandatory hybrid work mode requiring in-office attendance twice a month and during the first week.
- Residence within the client's geographic area is required.
Scheduling:
- Contract position for 10 months with a possibility of extension.
- Hybrid work schedule with specified in-office days.
