.NET Full-Stack Developer
Location: Phoenix, AZ Hybrid
Client: Arizona Department of Education (AZED) Information Technology Division
The Arizona Department of Education is seeking an experienced .NET Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain statewide web applications and backend processes supporting Arizona's K-12 education community.
Key Responsibilities
- Review functional business requirements and technical design specifications to understand application deliverables.
- Design, develop, unit test, enhance, and maintain web applications using Microsoft technologies.
- Develop new application features and build new applications based on business requirements.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Develop backend processes, APIs, database components, and application integrations.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, Operations, Network Services, Leadership, and other technical teams.
- Participate in Scrum activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Participate in software architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews.
- Provide development estimates and effectively manage assigned deliverables and deadlines.
- Coordinate with Network Services and Operations teams for application environments, builds, and deployments.
- Develop and maintain solutions using C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core 3.1+, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Apply object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Develop solutions using Microsoft Azure, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Storage Accounts.
- Develop SQL Server solutions including stored procedures, functions, and relational database models.
- Create Power BI semantic models, reports, dashboards, and visualizations for integration into secured web applications.
- Use Azure DevOps, TFS, or other source-control and work-management platforms for development and delivery.
- Apply strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and application debugging skills.
- Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Required: 5+ years of professional software application development experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: Current experience with .NET 6+, Blazor, Telerik/Kendo UI, additional Azure services, SSIS/SSRS, Agile/Scrum, and education or government-sector projects.
