Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Patternmaker Apprentice 1st Shift to join their team. As a Patternmaker Apprentice 1st Shift, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the patternmaking and foundry operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Leeds, AL

Pay Range: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour

Shift: First Shift - 4am-2:30pm

What's the Job?

• Participate in a comprehensive three-year apprenticeship program focused on patternmaking and foundry tooling design and construction.
• Gain hands-on experience working with green sand-casting operations, shadowing experienced patternmakers.
• Learn programming, setup, and operation of CNC machining equipment.
• Engage in 3D scanning and printing activities to develop modern manufacturing skills.
• Complete in-house, online, and offsite training including community college courses to build foundational skills.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 80% score on skills assessment or equivalent certification.
• Machine Tool Technology Certificate or current enrollment in such a program is preferred.
• Demonstrated interest or background in manual or CNC machining.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check as part of the onboarding process.
• Strong motivation to learn and develop new technical skills in a manufacturing environment.
