Job DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Designing databases and ensuring their stability reliability and performanceDesign create and implement database systems based on the end user 39s requirementsDevelop test and maintain oracle database objects for PEARLCARE softwareInvestigate and support new technology initiatives to improve or enhance current database capabilitiesPrepare documentations for database applicationsMaintain all programming in SourceSafeLearn new applicable programming techniques as neededWork with other database personnel front end programmers and customer support as neededBe available as needed should critical software issues ariseWrite documentation and sops for future useQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyRequirements includeB S in Information Technology Computer Science or equivalent skills work experience5 years of hands-on Oracle Relational modeling and database development experience3 years working in Oracle Database DDL DML and concepts table triggers views procedures functionspackages PL SQL SQL languages with SQLplus SQLcli and or Experience with database version control through VSS or equivalentDemonstrated technical excellence working to support scientific user base to engage in problem solving andfinding proactive solutionsProven track record of leading database transformation and development project through to successfulimplementationSignificant Oracle database test development and performance tuning experienceProficiency in technical writing documenting solutions and communicating with clients and usersJ
