Energy Conservation CoordinationHopeSource is seeking a motivated individual who is interested in promoting energy conservation among low-income families in Kittitas County. You will be working with clients directly, doing home visits and teaching skills to save on energy bills while ensuring a warm and safe place to live. The job incorporates building science, weatherization, environmental education and HopeSource's Whole Person Care model of service, which addresses the needs of the individual. Outreach to vulnerable populations, recordkeeping and writing skills are important aspects of the job.Coordinate energy conservation program:Conduct in-home conservation education visits: implement low/no cost energy saving measures, assess home, identify measures to help clients conserve energy and save moneyAssist with home energy audits/inspectionsCreate/maintain/verify files, compile reports, and perform data analyst and input responsibilities for multiple programsPlan and conduct outreach activities to identify and encourage clients to participate in HopeSource programs and promote energy conservation in the communityConduct intakes to qualify clientsProcess fiscal paymentsDevelop and distribute conservation education materials to clients and the publicEvaluate program success through surveys and other feedbackUse knowledge of programs, organization, and its members to assist weatherization staff with daily tasks.Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements:Philosophical commitment to the mission and objectives of HopeSourceAbility to communicate and work effectively with staff, low-income clients, and community members while maintaining professional/appropriate boundariesUnderstanding of diversity, equity and inclusion principles, with ability to work well with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgroundsAbility to work independently and in team settingsExceptional interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skillsAbility to communicate with clients in writing, conveying information that is error-free and understandable to all education levelsAbility to maintain client confidentialityAbility to perform all required job duties while meeting daily, weekly, and monthly deadlinesAbility to take initiative and ask questions when more direction is neededAbility to meet deadlines and follow through on assigned tasksMust demonstrate and maintain punctuality and consistent attendanceAbility to learn new processes, procedures, and technologyAbility to complete evaluations of client's home, which includes, but is not limited to, entering attics and crawlspaces. Proper safety equipment and training will be provided to aid in performing assigned duties. Physical demands can be significant based on the type of home being evaluated and what equipment is required.Office computer experience required, including working knowledge of word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and publishing, preferably in MS Windows formatBilingual English/Spanish is preferredValid driver's license
