Program Coordinator
The Cisneros Institute produces translational research and develops innovative programming in support of cohorts of students at various levels. In support of this mission, the Cisneros Institute seeks a Program Associate who will provide logistical assistance and will implement the programmatic efforts of the Institute. These activities include the Institute's signature pre-college, undergraduate, and internship programs, as well as public-facing events and support of large research projects. The program associate reports to the Acting Director of the Cisneros Institute.
Key responsibilities for this position include: liaising with external partners and coordinating site visits; serving as the point of contact for summer student programs; coordinating the application and review process for Institute programs; supporting Scholar programming; supporting the planning and implementation of the Institute's signature programs; assisting students with the enrollment and onboarding process; booking spaces and coordinating logistics for in-person programs in collaboration with the Institute Program Coordinator; assisting Institute leadership to produce annual reports on the Institute's programs; and performing other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidates will have experience working with students from a similar profile as those engaged with the Cisneros Institute, experience working in an academic programming environment.
Minimum Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience coordinating programs or events, preferably within an educational or nonprofit setting, with a strong understanding of logistics, scheduling, and stakeholder management is desired. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to liaise effectively with external partners, students, and team members and to assist with producing clear reports and documentation is preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Experience working with students from a similar profile as those engaged with the Cisneros Institute, experience working in an academic programming environment, and culturally competent experience that supports work related to Latino communities.
Hiring Range - $21.80 - $28.32
