Program Launch Engineer
Location: Lewisburg, TN
We are seeking a Program Launch Engineer to support new program launches and ongoing manufacturing initiatives within a Tier 1 manufacturing environment. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure programs are launched on time, meet customer requirements, and transition successfully into production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support new program launches from initial planning through production start-up and stabilization
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure launch milestones are met
- Develop and maintain program timing, launch schedules, and key deliverables
- Support APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and other customer/manufacturing launch requirements
- Identify and resolve issues affecting timing, quality, cost, or production readiness
- Coordinate prototype, pre-production, and production activities
- Participate in customer meetings and provide updates on program status, risks, and corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the launch and production process
- Ensure successful handoff of new programs from launch into ongoing production
Qualifications
- Previous experience in program launch, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, or a similar role
- Experience working within a Tier 1 manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and launch processes
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
