Python Developer | Cloud, SQL & CI/CD

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a capable and collaborative Python Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions. This role emphasizes strong backend development in Python, solid understanding of software architecture, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The successful candidate will contribute to architecture decisions, drive delivery of features, and support CI/CD and cloud adoption to enable business growth and digital transformation.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential)

• Proficiency in Python 3.x for backend development and data processing

• Experience with one or more Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and REST API development

• Strong understanding of SDLC/ Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams

• Solid knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and basic cloud infrastructure concepts

• Experience with relational databases and data modeling (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Version control with Git; collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

• NoSQL databases and data warehousing concepts

• Testing frameworks (pytest, unittest), and front-end awareness (JavaScript/HTML/CSS)

• Exposure to data analytics, visualization, or reporting tools

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based applications and APIs

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; participate in code reviews

• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security

• Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards

• Support CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts to accelerate delivery

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture, deployment procedures, and technical specifications

• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices

• Domain experience in finance, banking, or other data-intensive sectors is advantageous but not mandatory

• Alternative pathways: substantial project work, relevant certifications, or notable contributions to Python-based platforms

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and plan iterations

• Write and review code; perform unit and integration tests; ensure quality

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and security

• Participate in planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

• Contribute to architecture discussions and deployment documentation

• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 5–9 years of hands-on Python development experience

• Certifications in Python, cloud platforms, or software development practices are helpful
