Python DevOps Engineer – Azure & Analytics Platform
Are you an experienced Python engineer who enjoys building reliable cloud solutions? Would you like to work on an advanced analytics platform used by more than 1,500 data and machine-learning professionals?
For a leading financial organisation in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Python DevOps Engineer who combines strong software development skills with Azure and DevOps expertise.
Your role
You will join an international and multidisciplinary platform team. Together, you will further develop and optimise a large-scale environment for data analytics and machine-learning solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
• Developing clean, modular and testable Python applications
• Building APIs with FastAPI and integrating third-party services
• Automating platform processes and operational workflows
• Designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native Azure solutions
• Creating and improving CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
• Monitoring performance and resolving platform issues
• Working with engineers, architects and business stakeholders
• Exploring new Azure technologies to continuously improve the platform
Your experience
• Approximately five years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering or a comparable role
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x
• Experience with type hinting, asynchronous programming and dependency injection
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of pytest, mocking and API contract testing
• Experience with Azure, Docker and Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of Entra ID, Microsoft Graph API and Azure storage solutions
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
