- Backend: Python3 and FastAPI
- Data Layer: PostgreSQL (via SQLAlchemy), MongoDB (via PyMongo), and Elasticsearch
- DevOps & CI/CD: Bitbucket Pipelines
- Deployment: Containerised applications using Docker
- Cloud: Infrastructure hosted on AWS
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimise performance and ensure reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain code quality, and share knowledge.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and methodologies.
Within 30 Days:
- Familiarise with essential role aspects and foundational tasks.
- Complete the company's onboarding program and training.
- Understand tools, technologies, and frameworks used by the development team.
- Meet team members, stakeholders, and participate in daily stand‑ups and sprint planning.
- Review existing codebases and documentation, and begin working on small tasks or bug fixes.
- Seek feedback and ask questions to understand best practices and coding standards.
Within 60 Days:
- Take on more complex tasks and projects under senior guidance.
- Actively participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
- Contribute to team discussions, planning sessions, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Continue learning and adapting to the development environment and tools.
- Explore professional development opportunities such as online courses or internal training.
Within 90 Days:
- Autonomously manage assigned tasks, contribute to technical and sprint planning, and take ownership of features.
- Demonstrate proficiency in primary technologies and frameworks.
- Deliver high‑quality, well‑documented, and tested code.
- Identify and suggest improvements to existing processes and workflows.
- Participate in retrospectives and provide constructive feedback.
- Establish yourself as a reliable and integral part of the development team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Flask) is a strong plus.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
