Role Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Celery.
- Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations.
- Develop responsive frontend interfaces with React and JavaScript.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Manage Helm charts for multi‑environment deployments.
- Support distributed, async task processing at scale.
Requirements
- Python (Django, REST APIs, ORM)
- Celery (async task queues, beat scheduling, workers)
- PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, migrations)
- React and JavaScript (ES6+, component architecture, state management)
- Docker (Dockerfile authoring, image builds, private registries)
- Kubernetes (Deployments, Services, Ingress, RBAC)
- Helm (chart authoring, templating, multi‑env values files)
Preferred, but not required
- GitHub Actions (CI/CD pipeline authoring, workflows, secrets management)
- Service mesh or Gateway API experience (Istio, cert‑manager)
- TypeScript or message queue experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

- Base salary for Toronto, ON: CAD $105k – $115k/year, depending on geography and other factors.
