Your Career Opportunity
The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, developing, coding, unit testing, and optimizing solutions based on provided specifications. This role ensures that applications are delivered with quality, accuracy, and alignment to technical and business requirements.
How You Will Be Spending Your Time
Development and Quality
•Develop functionality and solutions in accordance with specifications, established standards, and existing system architecture.
•Prepare and execute unit tests to confirm that delivered solutions perform as expected.
•Ensure technical documentation aligns with development specifications and accurately reflects the final solution.
•Document code and programming processes to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Collaboration and Support
•Work with clients and internal stakeholders, as needed, to troubleshoot issues, debug applications, and propose solutions that meet requirements and expectations.
•Participate in collaborative solution design and problem-solving activities.
•Contribute to a team culture that supports sustainable development practices and open, regular communication.
•Complete related tasks assigned by the manager.

•Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
•Be available on occasion to work extended hours or weekends when required to meet tight deadlines.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes Required to be Successful
Education and Experience
•University degree in information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•10 years’ experience in architecting, designing, and developing Java applications and REST/SOAP APIs, including hands-on work across system architecture, integration patterns, and full SDLC delivery.
Technical Skills
•Strong experience with Java and the Spring Boot / Spring Framework ecosystem, with good familiarity working in environments using Apache Tomcat.
•Solid web development skills across modern and legacy technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery.
•Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and data persistence using both SQL/relational databases and NoSQL databases.
•Experience with development tooling including JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA, Maven, and version control systems.
•Proficiency with Git and experience working with CI/CD pipelines in collaborative development environments.
•Experience using AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, solution design, and documentation.
•Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, readable code that is maintainable and easy to support.
Working Conditions
•Remote / Hybrid – in-person requirement once per month
•Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (EST)
•37.5 hours per week
