At TMC, we are looking for a Senior Java Engineer for a long-term project in the Eindhoven region.
You will work on software tools used to extract and process different types of data from complex machines. The environment combines new development with the maintenance and improvement of existing software.
What you will work on
- Pure Java development
- Some JavaFX
- REST interfaces over HTTP
- Data extraction from complex machines
- Maintenance and improvement of legacy code
- Writing clean, stable and maintainable software
- Coordinating closely with a small engineering team
This is not a fully defined greenfield project. You should be comfortable investigating existing code, making pragmatic decisions and working in an environment where not every answer is available upfront.
What we are looking for
- At least five years of professional Java experience
- Strong knowledge of core Java
- Experience with REST interfaces
- Ability to understand and improve existing codebases
- Strong ownership and sense of responsibility
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with uncertainty
- Good communication skills in English
- A Master’s degree is preferred
- Based in or near the Eindhoven region
