We are looking for a Senior Mechanical / HVAC Enginee r to lead the technical delivery of our Data Centre and large-scale Pharmaceutical projects. THE ROLEYou will be the mechanical lead of our projects in Italy as well as a key member on other international projects, working closely with all the other disciplines (Architecture, Structures, Civils and Sustainability) and clients to deliver innovative designs.
- Lead mechanical technical design (HVAC, cooling, piping and ventilation) for all project stages, from concept to construction, including calculations, concept development, project coordination, H&S, risk management and project delivery.
- Supervise and coordinate teams of engineers and technicians, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance and ensuring team cohesion toward project goals.
- Identify and specify appropriate mechanical equipment and components to meet project objectives, considering energy efficiency, reliability, redundancy and system compatibility.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of critical cooling systems, variable flow closed-circuit water systems, chilled water applications and mechanical equipment selection.
- Carry out hydraulic system calculations, including pump sizing, pressure drop analysis and flow control for chilled water applications.
- Work concurrently on multiple projects from concept through to delivery.
- Use a solution-based approach to solve complex thermal and fluid dynamic problem
- Ensure full compliance with Italian regulations.
- Produce and sign off official submissions to local authorities.
- Manage project coordination, QA/QC procedures and risk management.
- Mentor junior engineers and liaise with senior management on project escalations.
- Degree in Mechanic al, Industrial, Energy Engineering or equivalent.
- Must-Ha ve: Deep knowledge of Italian regulations.
- Minimum of 4 ye ars of professional experience, preferably with previous experience in Data Centre, mission critical or Pharmaceutical projects in Italy.
- Solid experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure or complex building services projects. Experience in Data Centre projects will be highly valued.
- Experience in producing, delivering and possibly signing off official submissions to local authorities.
- Language : Full professional fluency in spoken and writt en Italian and English.
- Project management : Proven experience in mechanical project management, with the ability to provide autonomous leadership and coordinate small teams of engineers.
- Revit & Naviswor ks: Competent in the use of Revit and Navisworks.
