We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team and contribute to building a data integration connector between a proprietary tool and RDDMS.
This role involves collaborating with team members, implementing backend logic, and ensuring seamless integration for data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the SME, Product Manager, and other team members to gather and understand functional and technical requirements
- Implement backend integration solutions and connectors using Python
- Develop and optimize transformation and mapping logic required for data integration
- Ensure compliance with industry standards like RESQML and best practices for data workflows
- Handle processes around data ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing
- Conduct code reviews and collaborate using GitLab or similar tools
- Identify technical challenges and provide resolutions to ensure timely project delivery
Requirements :
- 3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack developer with a focus on Python
- Experience in data mapping, system integration, and transformation across heterogeneous systems
- Proficiency in REST API development and interoperability between systems
- Familiarity with subsurface and geological data standards like RESQML or OSDU
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments with tools like GitLab
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills
Nice to have
- Background in using Schlumberger tools, especially Petrel
- Knowledge of the OSDU platform and open data standards
- Hands-on experience in hybrid or cloud-based infrastructure development
- Familiarity with subsurface data management or reservoir modelling practices
