About the team

Build the future of developer experience for the Maestro platform at Kinaxis Great platforms empower developers and administrators to build, extend, and operate with confidence. As a member of the Developer Experience and Administration team, you'll help create the tools, services, and platform capabilities that enable Kinaxis teams, customers, and partners to get the most from the Maestro platform.

This is a unique opportunity to work across enterprise software development, cloud infrastructure, automation, and developer tooling. You'll build intuitive user experiences, develop APIs and platform services, automate operational workflows, and create self-service capabilities that improve productivity at scale. Whether you're developing cloud-native applications, implementinginfrastructure as code, or streamlining developer workflows, your work will help simplify complexity and accelerate innovation.

Our team owns the administration experiences that power Maestro today and the developer experiences that will enable the platform's next generation of extensibility and ecosystem growth. The capabilities you build will help simplify platform administration, improve developer productivity, and enable customers and partners to extend Maestro with confidence.

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Developer with strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building enterprise software, APIs, automation, and cloud-native solutions. You enjoy solving complex technical problems and are comfortable working across application development, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling.

Beyond writing great software, you collaborate effectively across teams, contribute to technical direction, and help elevate those around you.

What you will do

  • Design, build, test, and support enterprise software, APIs, automation workflows, and developer-facing platform capabilities.
  • Develop solutions with a strong focus on security, performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, product partners, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders across the company.
  • Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, engineering standards, and development best practices.
  • Mentor team members through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

What we are looking for

Required:

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive software development experience.
  • Significant experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise software applications and APIs.
  • Experience building and operating solutions in public cloud environments, primarily Azure and GCP.
  • Disciplined approach to software quality, including automated testing, continuous integration, and code review practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts, influence decisions, and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A passion for solving complex technical problems.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools effectively while applying sound engineering judgment and adhering to architecture, security, and code quality standards.
  • Experience with modern automation and DevOps technologies, such as GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or Maven.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, GKE, or AKS.
  • Experience building developer-facing tools, self-service platforms, administration capabilities, or developer productivity solutions.
