Description
Infor is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer, Associate to join our Hospitality Point of Sale (POS) engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career software developer who is passionate about modern web technologies, cloud-native development, and continuous learning.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced engineers to develop and maintain next-generation restaurant technology solutions used by hospitality organizations worldwide. This role offers hands-on experience building modern Angular-based user interfaces, serverless AWS backend services, and scalable cloud-native applications.
We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, excited by emerging technologies, and committed to growing their technical expertise through continuous education and professional certifications.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 1+ years of software development experience in Java, including internships, co-op placements, academic projects, or personal development projects.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software development fundamentals.
- Exposure to web application development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
- Knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Basic understanding of APIs, web services, and cloud computing concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing priorities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Has a genuine passion for software engineering and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrates strong curiosity and a growth mindset.
- Enjoys learning modern frameworks and development approaches.
- Is excited about cloud-native technologies and serverless computing.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Angular and TypeScript.

- Knowledge of REST APIs and microservice concepts.
- Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases.
- Academic, internship, or personal project experience developing full-stack applications.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
