Get to know our Team:

Chroma is a full-stack team within Grab's Web Platform group. We build the foundational tooling, frameworks, and infrastructure that accelerate web development across the entire company — from CI/CD pipelines and reusable component libraries to modern micro-frontend architecture that powers dozens of internal applications.

Beyond platform engineering, we design and maintain large-scale internal web portals serving teams across Data, AI, and Business domains — including a unified notification infrastructure that delivers timely, actionable information to users across all internal platforms.

We are also pioneering AI-powered developer automation — building intelligent agents that can autonomously implement features, fix bugs, resolve code review feedback, and deploy changes end-to-end from a natural language prompt. This is where platform engineering meets AI to fundamentally reshape how engineers ship software.

Get to know the Role:

As a Fullstack Engineer in the Chroma team, you'll be part of Grab's Web Platform group, responsible for building the core infrastructure and modern micro-frontend architecture that powers internal web applications across the company.

Your work will span three key areas:

1. Platform Engineering: Design and build CI/CD-ready frameworks, frontend infrastructure, and reusable UI components that enable other teams to efficiently develop high-quality web applications at scale.

2. Application Development: Build and maintain scalable, user-focused internal web portals and cross-platform systems — including notification infrastructure that surfaces critical information to users across all internal tools.

3. AI-Powered Developer Tooling: Contribute to building intelligent engineering agents — designing agentic workflows, tool integrations, and evaluation frameworks that enable autonomous code generation, review, and deployment across the web platform.

You'll be involved throughout the entire development lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment and performance optimization, playing a key role in shaping the future of web development at Grab.

The Day-to-Day activities:

• Design, develop, and maintain internal web portals, reusable UI components, and cross-platform notification systems.
• Develop and maintain web platform tooling and frameworks used for building React applications at Grab.
• Build micro-frontend architecture and integration patterns that enable teams to independently develop and deploy their applications.
• Design and improve AI agent capabilities — building tool integrations, agentic workflows, and evaluation harnesses that enable autonomous software delivery.
• Collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.
• Implement best practices for web development, ensuring high-quality code and adhering to performance, security, and accessibility standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation of platform design, features, and functionality, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously assess new technologies and techniques to enhance the engineering capabilities of the team.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure platform stability and performance.

The Must-Haves:

• At least 5 years of experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as ReactJS (preferred), Ant Design, Micro Frontends, and Webpack.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively provide updates and resolutions to customers and cross-functional partners.
• Solid experience in web development, along with a willingness to engage in continuous learning to stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, with hands-on experience integrating frontend applications into automated build and deployment pipelines.
• Comfortable working across the stack, with familiarity in building APIs, implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers, and working with databases when needed to support frontend functionality.
• Interest or experience in AI/LLM-powered developer tools, agentic systems, or developer productivity automation is a plus.
