A Top Fortune 50 Financial Institution is seeking a Solution Architect to join their team. This opportunity is open to candidates working remotely or in a hybrid capacity from the organization's campuses in Vienna, VA; Winchester, VA; or Pensacola, FL. The Solution Architect will lead the architecture, technical strategy, and implementation of an enterprise Cloud Core Release Certification Hub supporting release governance, quality engineering, AI-enabled automation, and DevSecOps initiatives.
About the Opportunity:
- Location: Remote or Hybrid (Vienna, VA; Winchester, VA; or Pensacola, FL)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, Core Hours 8am-4:30pm local time
- Setting: Enterprise Technology/Cloud Engineering
- Team: Cloud Core Engineering
- Etc.: This is a hands-on senior-level individual contributor role responsible for defining enterprise architecture while providing technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.
The Solution Architect will be responsible for:
- Leading the overall architecture, design, and implementation strategy for the Cloud Core Release Certification Hub
- Defining application, integration, data, analytics, AI, security, and governance architecture standards
- Designing enterprise integrations across GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Oracle platforms, Zafin, identity providers, defect management systems, and testing ecosystems
- Establishing enterprise data models supporting release certification, testing, defects, compliance, audit, reporting, and executive decision support
- Driving DevSecOps best practices, API standards, observability, scalability, resiliency, and platform security
- Conducting architecture and design reviews while providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineering, AI, data, and DevOps teams
- Collaborating with Product Owners, Quality Engineering, Release Management, Architecture, Security, Risk, and Audit stakeholders to deliver scalable technical solutions
- Developing technical roadmaps, architecture documentation, implementation plans, and engineering standards
- Evaluating emerging technologies to enhance AI-enabled release certification, automation, analytics, and governance capabilities
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or similar technical leadership role
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud-native platforms with microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, and complex integrations
- Strong knowledge of GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and modern DevSecOps practices
- Experience designing enterprise data models, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions
- Expertise implementing security controls including RBAC, authentication, authorization, audit logging, and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, telemetry, and operational readiness strategies
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineering teams, and translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Quality Engineering, Test Automation, Test Management, or Release Management platforms
- Financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industry experience
- Experience developing AI-enabled solutions using Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, or recommendation engines
- Experience designing governance, traceability, compliance, audit, and evidence management solutions
- Familiarity with Oracle Banking platforms, Zafin, and enterprise testing ecosystems
- Experience with test data management platforms such as GenRocket or similar solutions
- Strong understanding of release certification, production readiness, quality gates, and governance processes
- Experience working within DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience organizations
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe
- Prior experience serving as the lead architect or principal engineer on a strategic enterprise platform initiative
