Job Description

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Developer with strong expertise in SQL and Oracle Database to join our team in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions that support business-critical applications. The candidate should have excellent SQL development skills, hands-on Oracle experience, and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize database performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL and Oracle database solutions.
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Optimize SQL queries and improve database performance.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into database solutions.
• Perform database design, data modeling, and normalization.
• Monitor database health and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Support application teams with database-related issues.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality database solutions.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with SQL (Primary Skill).
• Experience with Oracle Database (Secondary Skill).
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and database programming.
• Experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Views, and Indexes.
• Strong understanding of SQL performance tuning and query optimization.
• Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling.
• Experience in database troubleshooting and production support.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
