Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer with expert-level Angular and SymphonyCRM/SuiteCRM experience to join the offshore CRM and Customer Web Portal development team for the Ranhill ICX programme. This role is integral to the delivery of the customer-facing CRM interface and web self-service portal that will serve over 1.3 million Ranhill SAJ customers. The Senior Developer will work within an Agile team managed by the offshore Development Manager, contributing high-quality code, supporting code reviews, and ensuring sprint deliverables are completed to specification. The ideal candidate is a self-directed professional with a passion for building scalable, maintainable frontend applications and CRM customisations in a collaborative offshore environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy Angular components and modules for the Customer Web Portal following the agreed technical design and UI/UX specifications
- Customise and extend SuiteCRM/SymphonyCRM modules, views, dashlets, and workflow logic per functional requirements provided by the BA team
- Implement REST API integration between the Angular frontend and backend microservices using HttpClient and RxJS-based patterns
- Write comprehensive unit tests and contribute to the automated test suite using Jest or Karma/Jasmine
- Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Conduct peer code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and security standards
- Resolve defects assigned during SIT and UAT phases within agreed SLA timelines
- Maintain technical documentation for developed components including code comments, README files, and API integration notes
- Collaborate with the Test Lead to support integration test scenario definition and test data preparation
- Apply responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility standards across all frontend components
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements including build optimisation and automated testing gates
- Participate in technical handover and knowledge transfer sessions for the Ranhill SAJ IT team
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of software development experience with a strong focus on Angular and SuiteCRM/SymphonyCRM
- Expert proficiency in Angular (v12 and above), TypeScript, RxJS, Angular Material, and component-driven architecture
- Deep hands-on SuiteCRM and/or SymphonyCRM development experience including module builder, Studio, relationship management, and PHP-based customisation
- Strong HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, and responsive web design skills
- Solid experience with REST API integration and JSON data handling
- Proficiency in Git version control including branching strategies (Gitflow) and pull request-based code review processes
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Jasmine) and test-driven development practices
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipeline concepts for development environment management
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in sprint-based delivery teams
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in an offshore setting
- Prior experience in CRM development for utilities, telco, or government customer service platforms is an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
