Position Summary:
This role will provide administrative support to the research program, including the Associate Chief of Clinical Research and the Clinical Research Director, and coordinate grant application activities for the Dept of Neurology.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for research staff, ensuring smooth transitions and completion of required administrative steps.
  • Approve bi-weekly timesheets and time-off requests for select Neurology research staff.
  • Provide administrative support for quarterly research staff meetings, including food ordering, room setup and cleanup, note-taking, and distribution of meeting minutes to appropriate teams.
  • Draft and distribute departmental communications, including weekly and monthly newsletters and other routine email updates.
  • Track incoming Neurology central team support requests and prepare reports, summaries, and data updates as needed.
  • Develop Smartsheet surveys, collect and organize responses, and present findings to leadership or relevant teams.
  • Support monthly Neurology Manager meetings by reserving space, coordinating technology setup, taking and disseminating minutes, and arranging food as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with IT, Facilities, Mail Services, Security, and other BCH departments, while also supporting special events such as Annual Neurology Research Day and providing calendar/administrative support for the Associate Chief of Research.
  • Coordinate end-to-end grant application development and submission by creating and managing timelines, liaising with subcontracting organizations, assembling, tracking receipt of and performing review of deliverables, and ensuring administrative, scientific, budgetary, and administrative components are completed on schedule.
  • Partner with investigators and research administrators to assist with the development of materials needed for grant submissions.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:
  • 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Experience with research coordination of clinical trials and preparation of grant applications is preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
