Brief summary of the role:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for structural design, project delivery, client coordination, and mentorship of junior staff. This role plays a key part in technical leadership within the structural engineering unit.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare structural designs for building and water‑retaining structures Conduct condition assessments and structural inspections Lead and manage junior engineers and draftspersons Engage directly with clients and consultants Oversee project timelines, quality control, and deliverables Support tender documentation and technical reporting Ensure compliance with local and international design codes
Reporting Line: Business Unit Manager Candidate Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: BSc. or BEng. Civil Engineering
Professional Registration(s): ECSA Pr Eng. Registered (Compulsory)
Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum 5 years post‑registration
Preferred Project Experience: Buildings, reservoirs, tanks, commercial and public infrastructure
Technical Skills / Software Required: Prokon, Auto CAD, Revit (preferred), MS Office Structural design and analysis tools
