Our client is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to manage and execute a variety of structural engineering projects.
Key Qualifications & Attributes:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.
- Minimum 3 years of structural engineering experience in Ontario.
- Strong technical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Positive, collaborative, and client-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through completion.
- Prepare and manage project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients and internal team members to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct structural assessments, inspections, and site reviews complete with detailed technical reports.
- Review engineering drawings, design briefs, and reports.
- Develop structural designs for mainly residential and commercial projects (support on industrial projects may also be required).
- Mentor and support junior staff.
- Attend client meetings both on-site and virtually.
- Assist with business development and client relationship management.
Technical Requirements:
The candidate must have knowledge and experience working with the following subjects and Canadian codes:
Candidates should also have working knowledge of:
- AutoCAD
- Revit
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD, RISA, etc.)
Salary: $90,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience and demonstrated ability.
