We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to support the design and analysis of exterior architectural products, ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable building codes.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design analysis for aluminum and steel structures.
- Review and coordinate structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Create and modify AutoCAD details based on conceptual sketches, custom designs, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, installation, support, and documentation teams to ensure compliance with design and code requirements.
- Support root cause analysis, technical problem-solving, and product evaluations.
- Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in structural design analysis.
- Experience with aluminum and steel structures.
- Background in louvers, building façades, exterior architectural products, or related markets.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA-3D, SAP2000, STAAD, or similar.
- Knowledge of U.S. building codes and design standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and ideally Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of installation, machining, and welding techniques.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and leadership skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Availability to travel to job sites if needed.
