The Role: UPS Solution Architect Engineer
Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering reliable and efficient
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) solutions for mission-critical facilities, including Data Centers, Telecommunications, Industrial, and Commercial applications. The role supports customers, sales teams, and project teams by providing technical expertise, solution design, and proposal development.
What will you do?
  • Design and develop UPS solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Perform load calculations, capacity sizing, and system architecture design.
  • Design UPS systems including N, N+1, and 2N redundancy configurations.
  • Select and size batteries, static switches, and related power infrastructure.
  • Prepare technical proposals, system drawings, and solution documentation.
  • Support pre-sales activities, customer meetings, and technical presentations.
  • Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provide technical support during project implementation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with sales, engineering, vendors, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on emerging UPS technologies, battery systems, and industry best practices.

What qualifications will make you successful?
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.

Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in UPS systems, critical power infrastructure, or electrical power solutions.
  • Experience in solution design, application engineering, or technical sales support is preferred.

Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of UPS technologies and architecture.
  • Knowledge of Lithium-ion and VRLA battery systems.
  • Understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Ability to perform load analysis and battery autonomy calculations.
  • Familiarity with power quality, system reliability, and redundancy concepts.
  • Understanding of data center and mission-critical infrastructure is an advantage.

Standards & Compliance
  • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and relevant electrical standards.
  • Familiarity with Uptime Institute or TIA-942 standards is preferred.

Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation abilities.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
