A multinational complex technology company is now looking for a Verification and Validation engineer based in Sydney. Competitive salary, hybrid working arrangements.
You will be responsible for ensuring delivery for V&V activities in a complex product development environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a V&V Engineer to step into an Australian defence company delivering V&V outcomes.
The Job:
- Be responsible for optimizing the delivery of testing processes and documentation for V&V
- Ensure team alignment to overall company V&V objectives and outcomes
- Mentor and guide other V&V team members (if you are a senior)
- Work closely with Systems/Software/Project Engineers to plan and execute System and Subsystem V&V strategies
- Author, maintain and review project and product related V&V related documentation.
- Deliver into future V&V programs, including the development of test automation capabilities
- Provide V&V support for the preparation and review of proposals, offers and bids.
- Provide guidance and support the integration of V&V functions across the organisation including continuous improvements of V&V processes and programs.
- Assign, schedule and manage V&V resources to projects according to changing priorities and staff development plans, to achieve project-specific V&V outcomes.

Knowledge and Experience required:
- Strong expertise in relevant V&V for software/systems development
- 2+ years leading specific V&V activities
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Systems Engineering process as applied to software design, development, testing and qualification.
- Engineering standards such as ISO-12207 (SW Life Cycle), ISO-1012 (SW V&V), EIA-632 (Sys Eng) and EIA-649 (Config Mgmt).
- Practical experience in the generation of V&V Plans and Procedures.
- Experience in C/C++ software development (desirable).
- Sound working knowledge of both Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Tools – Git, Jira, Confluence, DOORS
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills.
- Medical, Aerospace, Rail or Defence experience an advantage
