Job Summary:
The Web Application Software Developer (Junior / Intermediate) is responsible for supporting the development and modernization of core and scientific research web applications. This role involves enhancing user interfaces, developing Drupal applications, assisting with cloud deployments on Azure, and maintaining technical documentation to ensure robust and secure software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software enhancements and new functionality for web applications.
- Support Drupal and web application modernization projects.
- Create and improve user interfaces to enhance user experience.
- Assist with Azure-based application deployments and services.
- Maintain technical documentation and architecture models.
- Participate in security remediation activities.
- Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) and GitHub workflows.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Angular, and Python.
- Experience with Drupal development.
- Knowledge of Redis and Elasticsearch technologies.
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines and SQL databases.
- Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with UI/UX design and improvements.
- Familiarity with security remediation best practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub development workflows.
