Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a WordPress Developer based in Calgary, AB, with some work-from-home flexibility. The WordPress Developer will manage the development, maintenance, and enhancement of websites while ensuring optimal performance and user experience. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing front-end user interfaces, developing and troubleshooting back-end systems, ensuring responsive and accessible web design, and collaborating with the broader team to align web solutions with marketing initiatives. The role also involves staying updated on emerging trends in web development and implementing best practices to enhance website functionality.
Qualifications
Experience in Back-End Web Development and WordPress customization
Expertise in Responsive Web Design and modern frameworks to ensure optimal usability on all devices
Background in Web Design and creating visually engaging user interfaces
Proven track record in Web Development, with experience deploying and maintaining WordPress-based sites
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve technical website issues
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with SEO principles and page-speed optimization is a plus
Familiarity with domain management and cloud hosting server recovery
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field preferred
