Description
We are looking for a technically solid Developer proficient in Python and Angular to join the offshore development team contributing to the AI Chatbot, Omnichannel Hub, and Field Service Management modules of the Ranhill ICX platform. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on innovative customer experience technologies including conversational AI integration, multi-channel communication platforms, and field workforce management systems. The Developer will work within an Agile team environment, taking ownership of sprint-allocated development tasks and delivering well-tested, maintainable code under the guidance of Senior Developers and the Development Lead.
Responsibilities
- Develop Python backend services for AI Chatbot, Omnichannel Hub, and Field Service Management modules including API handlers, data processing pipelines, and third-party service integrations
- Build Angular UI components for operator consoles and management dashboards for assigned modules
- Implement data persistence layers using MariaDB including ORM models, migrations, and optimised query logic
- Write unit tests using Pytest and Jest/Karma to meet agreed sprint code coverage targets
- Participate actively in all Agile sprint ceremonies including stand-ups, planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Follow coding standards, security guidelines, and Git-based code review processes
- Debug and resolve defects identified during QA and UAT test cycles within agreed timeframes
- Collaborate with Senior Developers on technical design decisions and implementation approaches
- Support API integration by implementing service client code against defined API contracts
- Maintain code documentation and contribute to technical wiki pages in Confluence
- Assist with test data preparation and integration test setup for assigned modules
- Contribute to code quality through refactoring tasks and technical debt reduction as directed by the Development Lead
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of professional development experience with solid skills in Python and Angular
- Proficiency in Python 3.x with Django REST Framework, FastAPI, or Flask for API development
- Working knowledge of Angular (v12+) including TypeScript, component architecture, and HTTP client
- Experience with REST API development and third-party service integration
- Proficiency in MariaDB or equivalent relational database development
- Unit testing experience with Pytest and Jest
- Proficiency in Git and CI/CD fundamentals
- Interest or exposure to chatbot/NLP integration, omnichannel platforms, or GIS mapping systems is an advantage
- Agile/Scrum team experience
- Strong written English for offshore team communication
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and take initiative on assigned tasks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
