Description
We are seeking a capable Developer with solid Python and Angular skills to contribute to the development of the Billing System and backend integration services for the Ranhill ICX platform. This offshore role is ideal for a developer who is proficient in full-stack development and has a keen interest in working on high-volume, high-complexity enterprise systems. Working within an Agile team under the guidance of Senior Developers and the Development Lead, the Developer will take ownership of sprint-allocated features, write unit-tested code, and contribute to the quality delivery of ICX billing and integration modules.
Responsibilities
- Develop Python microservices for the Billing System module including API endpoints, business rule processing, and database access layers
- Build Angular frontend components for billing management and customer account interfaces based on technical design specifications
- Implement input validation, error handling, and logging in developed backend services
- Write unit tests using Pytest (Python) and Jest (Angular) to meet minimum code coverage targets for each sprint
- Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Resolve defects from SIT and UAT phases within agreed resolution timelines
- Adhere to coding standards, Git branching strategy, and code review processes
- Develop database queries and schema interaction code for MariaDB following performance and security best practices
- Collaborate with Senior Developers on technical design clarifications and peer code review
- Maintain code-level documentation including API endpoint descriptions and service interaction notes
- Support integration testing preparation by assisting with test data creation and API mock setup
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline processes by ensuring code passes automated linting and unit test gates before merge
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of professional full-stack development experience with demonstrated skills in Python and Angular
- Solid Python 3.x development skills with experience in Django REST Framework or FastAPI
- Working Angular (v12+) development proficiency including TypeScript, RxJS, and component-based architecture
- Experience with relational database development using MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Familiarity with RESTful API development and JSON data handling
- Experience with unit testing using Pytest and Jest
- Proficiency in Git version control
- Basic understanding of Docker and containerised application development
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum sprint-based teams
- Good written English communication for offshore team collaboration
- Experience in billing, financial, or enterprise application development is an advantage
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and willingness to work independently
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
