What do you need to be a SMART Java Developer?
- 7+ years of experience in Java backend development
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot in production environments
- Experience with REST APIs, service integration and event-driven architectures
- Solid knowledge of Maven/Gradle and multi-module applications
- Experience with JUnit, integration and regression testing
- Good understanding of complex backend workflows, state transitions, retry and recovery mechanisms
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, CI/CD and Git/Bitbucket
- Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-first mindset
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Excellent English skills (spoken & written)
Nice to have
- Experience in financial services, risk, margin or clearing platforms
- Knowledge of Cucumber and AI-assisted development tools
