Overview
We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead with a strong background in IT services and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate should have led development teams delivering fixed-cost projects and possess excellent technical, architectural, and leadership capabilities. Banking and financial services domain experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications.
- Drive technical solutioning and architecture discussions with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead a team of developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Break down requirements into technical designs, effort estimates, and development plans.
- Participate in project estimation, planning, and risk identification, especially for fixed-price engagements.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining high quality standards.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team in resolving production challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, QA teams, and client stakeholders.
- Mentor developers and help build technical capabilities within the team.
- Continuously improve engineering practices, DevOps adoption, automation, and code quality.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Essential skills
- Strong expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Microservices.
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate/JPA.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience with messaging technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Git, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube, and Jenkins.

- Banking/Financial Services domain experience is highly preferred.
